The tender goliath turned wrecking ball, making mincemeat of the vacationers' VW Polo as he rubbed himself against the top and cap.

The tenants - an anonymous couple in their 30s - cringed inside as the "energetic" brute free itself of parasites on an amusement save.

The inconceivable scene was caught by Armand Grobler, 21, field guide and cabin administrator at Pilanesburg National Park in South Africa.

He said: "I was doing ethology - the investigation of creature conduct - so I had a fundamental understanding of what was going on.

"The elephant was apparently on Musth, a period a male elephant has an overabundance measure of testosterone, transforming even the calmest Dumbo into a boiling over bull.

"Yet despite the fact that it was in this condition, it showed no indications of hostility or dissatisfaction and was in a more fun loving inclination."

Elephants always remember how to capture an irritating tingle and commonly utilize logs, little trees and shakes however with the auto so close it was a chance excessively useful for Nellie to leave behind.

Mr Grobler included: "We viewed with dismay yet the two travelers were not hurt, just severely shaken up.

"They were both in stun however euphoric to be alive.

"The auto was not all that fortunate.

"From what we could see and listen, all the windows and the whole top piece of the auto was crushed.

"Each of the four tires had been blown and the suspension broken."

After the minutes-long dramatization, Nellie stuffed his trunk and walked off into the hedge tingle free and apparently unaware of the pulverization abandoned.
